Made Some Cheese and Beer

 Sunday I made some beer and cheese. I made the beer so I can make some beer soaked cheese.

I decided to make a big Brie wheel. Honestly, I had some trouble as I used a homemade mold. I bought a 2 gallon food safe bucket and asked my husband to add some drainage holes. I forgot to ask him to cut off the top and bottom so it was like a hoop. I decided to try it anyway, the top was a little bigger than the bottom and I broke my cheese in half. Luckily, I was able to push the halves back together since it was very soft and still curdy. I was able to find a stainless steel ring mold I use for cake and used it for my cheese so it looks pretty again

         . 

The beer seems to be doing well. I bought a kit from a local brewing supply company. Followed all the directions and was able to get to the fermentation stage of the beer. I am thinking of continuing, since it was pretty fun! I think it would be neat to come up with my own beer.
